In the spotlight with Karina Vizcaya

In our latest staff spotlight feature, we spoke to Karina Vizcaya, a Class 2 Driver at Pall-Ex Logistics (Dorset). Since joining the business, Karina has taken every challenge in her stride and has already proven to be a real asset to the team.

What is your role at Pall-Ex Logistics and what are your key responsibilities?

I work as a Class 2 Driver for Pall-Ex Logistics (Dorset), doing multidrop deliveries across the local area. I started with the business around two months ago.

How did you get into the logistics industry?

I left a job in investment banking to join the logistics industry, and since doing so I have felt incredibly welcomed and appreciated. I love getting out on the road and driving around the countryside, so this job is a perfect fit for me.

What are some qualities that you think are especially important in the logistics industry?

To succeed in the logistics industry, it is important to have excellent customer service skills, be dedicated and hard-working and have a calm demeanour to deal with any problems that might be thrown at you.

What has been your most memorable moment at Pall-Ex Logistics so far?

My highlight since joining Pall-Ex Logistics has been receiving a colleague nomination for ‘respect’. Knowing my hard work has been noticed is a fantastic feeling, especially as I haven’t been with the business for very long. I’m really looking forward to the future with Pall-Ex Logistics and seeing how I can continue to develop in my role.
